How To Install Android On Your Computer, Laptop

Yes, gentlemen. Thanks to the Android-x86 project, we can already install Android on your PC or laptop . Of course, we can only do if your computer uses an Intel CPU. If you have AMD, forget it. Although you can try it and see what happens. I already tell you that I tried it on an AMD and I could not install it. Luckily, I also had a laptop Intel and that I could install itself.

Well, go to the mess. To install Android on our computer we have to follow these steps:
  • First, we recorded the iso image to a CD or create a bootable USB drive . The images can be found in the download section of the project .
  • Then boot the computer from the CD or USB newly created. To do this, we may need to change the BIOS boot by default because normally from the hard disk.
  • We chose a screen where the option appears Install Android to harddisk .
  • After a few seconds, you will see a screen where you choose the partition on which you are going to install Android . We can choose an existing partition or create / modify partitions by choosing the Create / Modify partitions option.
  • This version of Android can coexist with other operating systems and file systems. Therefore, if we choose a partition to install that already had data, we choose in the following screen the appropriate file system. Androidx86 supports fat32, ntfs, ext2 and ext3. If the partition was formatted chosen Do not choose the format option. Importantly, if we choose as fat32 file system can not store any data in the Android version installed and will function as a live CD.
  • Then, the installer will ask if you want to install Grub . Grub is a bootloader that allows you to select which operating system should start. It is recommended to install at this point, but we had already done. Anyway, to install only creates items concerning Android-x86, so if you had another operating system on the computer you will have to add the corresponding lines later in the / grub / menu.lst. For example, on Windows, you should add the following:
    title Windows
    rootnoverify (hd0, 0)
    chainloader +1
The above code assumes that Windows is installed on the first partition of the hard disk (hd0).
  • Finally, the installation begins and after completion Android-x86 can boot or reboot.
For once installed, already we can enjoy Android on our computer . I've tried it on a laptop and the truth that is very functional. I also did not detect the Wi-Fi and I could not test the Internet connection. But it is pretty funny and we always have to show off with friends. If you dare to install it on your computer, we hope that you share your feelings with us in the comments.
